Save Our Grouper

Attention Grouper Fishermen! The National Marine Fisheries Service has announced the closing of both commerical and recreational bagging.

"A temporary closure of the recreational fishery for gag, red grouper, and black grouper will protect these species during the February/March spawning period. This closure will support the red grouper rebuilding plan, while preventing a shift of fishing effort to other groupers."

Be sure to target other non breeding, less endangered species this winter, in the meantime, enjoy some grouper.
